Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Human Resources Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Human Resources Generalist to support Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina (TBMNC).
The primary duties of this role are to support a broad range of HR-related responsibilities including policy and procedure development, HR project management, training and development, employee engagement and performance, and compensation and benefits. Human Resources Generalists also support and engage with company leaders in making people-related decisions.
Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, the person in this role will support the HR department's objective to put our customers first and deliver exceptional customer support and service.
This is an onsite position based at our manufacturing facility in Liberty, North Carolina. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within a daily commutable distance of this location.
What you’ll be doing
- Support all HR policy development and implementation.
- Creation and implementation of HR processes and systems to ensure a positive experience for all team members.
- Create and manage project plans supporting a variety of projects and assignments.
- Gather, analyze, and report data with useful HR metrics.
- Partner with HR Analysts by supporting Salary Planning, Payroll, Benefits, National Health Services, LOA, and other related generalist duties.
- Serve as a liaison by providing local HR support to all members of TBMNC.
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree or higher and/or at least 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
- Human Resources experience within a manufacturing environment, including policy and procedure development, training and development, employee engagement and performance, compensation, and benefits.
- Skilled in gathering and analyzing data to create reports and HR metrics.
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge with the ability to identify issues, adapt, and implement countermeasures as needed to ensure targets are achieved.
- Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong work ethic to ensure that activities are coordinated and executed successfully.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and within a team supporting a variety of assignments.
Added bonus if you have
- Bachelor’s degree or higher specifically in Human Resources.
- HR Certification.
- Workday HRIS experience.
- Experience with manufacturing manpower planning.
