MMSD is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Human Resources Generalist in the Executive Director Division. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you manage, coordinate, and administer the following Human Resources (HR) functions and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws: HR records and systems, job descriptions, salary administration, performance evaluation process, and training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely personnel transactions, records management functions, and updates by coordinating with payroll when applicable.
- Manage the District's HR records and salary administration relative to new hires, promotions, and any other salary changes.
- Coordinate and implement performance evaluation process.
- Conduct research, analyze data, and develop reports and other documents to support the compensation program.
- Research compensation trends and review and participate in surveys to determine how MMSD's pay structure and rates compare with the industry.
- Administer the compensation program in Oracle and Lawson software systems.
- Conduct job evaluations to determine accurate salary range.
- Accurately create and maintain job descriptions.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources management, business administration, or a related field.
- Two to three years of job-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Solid understanding of employment policies, regulations, and compliance.
- Strong customer service and negotiating skills.
- Substantial written and verbal communication skills.
- High degree of interpersonal and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to resolve conflict.
- Ability to work with and maintain accurate and confidential Human Resources information.
- Computer software proficiency.

SUMMARY OF MMSD EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
MMSD provides a competitive benefits package for employees based on Commission Policy that include the following:
• Annual vacation and Personal Days: Two to five weeks of vacation based on years of service and four personal days per year.
• Holidays: 10 days annually.
• Sick Leave: Earn 10 days annually.
