Position: Human Resources Generalist

Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time

Shift: Days

Rate of Pay: 60,000 -70,000 annually

Exempt/Non-Exempt: Exempt

As the Human Resources Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and administration of the day-to-day HR functions for the practice. You will be responsible for managing employee records, administering benefits, and performing other administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service. This position requires the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

Job Responsibilities

  • Employee advocate that provides assistance and education to all regarding benefits and policies and procedures of the practice.
  • Provides innovative ways to bolster employee morale and wellbeing.
  • Provides assistance with and ideas related to first class on boarding of new staff.
  • Provides assistance with innovative recruitment ideas and assists managers with same.
  • Assists with the hiring process to ensure consistency across departments, including posting jobs, interviewing, preemployment verifications, onboarding, and orientation.
  • Assists in maintaining accurate employee records, such as, benefits information, performance reviews, and payroll records

• Enters employee changes, such as new hires, rate changes, terminations into payroll system and assists with bi-weekly payroll processing

• Monitors practices compliance with federal and state labor laws, such as Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws, minimum wage laws, and other regulations

• Develop and maintains affirmative action plan, files EEO-1 report annually, maintains other records, reports, and logs to confirm EEO regulations

• Assist with the development and implementation of personnel policies

• Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, terminations, compliance, handling inquiries, and holding open enrollment meetings.

• Assist supervisors and management with personnel related matters and best practices for same.

• Responsible for ensuring that all appropriate notices and policies are communicated to the employees.

• Establishes and maintains bulletin boards for the posting of legal and corporate notices.

• Provides assistance with employee training and development programs

• Assists employees with any complaints and grievances

• Provides a framework for compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

• Assists with the development and implementation of compensation and incentive programs

• Provides oversight for Workers' Compensation management, administering and tracking Family Medical Leave, ADA requests, leaves of absence and return to work programs. Manages Workers' Compensation, FMLA and disability claims by filing routine forms, assisting employees with medical claim forms, processing with required agency and other related duties.

• Provides guidance and advice concerning legal compliance with applicable HR federal and state requirements and maintaining records.

• Conduct exit interviews and ensure that departing staff have all necessary paperwork for their continued success and benefit.

Job Requirements

• Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

• 3+ years of experience in HR administration

• Knowledge of labor and employment laws

• Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and databases

• Exceptional organizational and communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information

• Detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

• Demonstrated experience with onboarding and offboarding processes
