Brasswood Bar + Kitchen is looking for a Maitre’d/Service Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and organized individual who knows how to lead a team and lives and breathes hospitality. The Maitre’d/Service Manager will work directly with the restaurant Food & Beverage Director and GM to ensure an outstanding guest experience by delivering the highest level of hospitality and serving exceptional food. The ideal candidate will also possess a deep understanding of both food and wine and will excel in a fast paced, high-energy environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the dining room and floor operations, greet guests and ensure the highest possible standards of service, setting the ambience and atmosphere of the restaurant.
- Effectively deliver outstanding service and guest experience from door to table, greeting and seating guests promptly and kindly, and resolving concerns from guests in a gracious and timely fashion.
- Manage hosts and FOH employees by reinforcing company standards, including uniform, grooming and timeliness. Promote cooperative effort, a team spirit, and good morale and service culture among team members.
- Conduct opening and/or end-of-day procedures including line-up, section assignments, menus, FOH check-out/ tipout procedures. Be available to fill in any role as needed to ensure a smooth and an efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the Restaurant Manager.
- Maintain safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and complying with sanitation, health and legal regulations, and enforcing disciplinary measures on shift.
- Communicate maintenance issues to property manager to ensure completion in a timely manner.
- Assist FOH staff as needed such as filling in for bartenders, servers, food runners, host.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Three + years previous experience required in restaurant management.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Solid understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, kitchen/bar equipment, and related processes.
- High level of professionalism and strong work ethic.
- Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Time management strengths with the ability to multi-task.
- Proven track record of effectively leading and managing others.
- Experience with POS and restaurant management software required. Heartland Restaurant and RESY knowledge are a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift items up to 50 pounds such as wine cases.
