- Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including; weekly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, tracking vacation/sick pay, importing expense reimbursements, inputting exceptions, hourly employee validations, and benefit changes.
- Onboarding and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations.
- Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs.
- Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents and benefits.
- Administers workers’ compensation, unemployment and disability claims.
- Administers auto accident policies, investigates accidents, and submits claims to carrier.
- Taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances.
- Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR departments and organization as a whole, and to improve employee experience.
- Assists with administration of company-wide Human Resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with stated corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements.
- Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters
- Performs payroll-related functions including but not limited to processing new hires, termination status changes, tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, and direct deposit.
- Responds to routine inquiries concerning payroll deductions, and accruals, wage garnishments, child support payments, and employment verifications. Responds to employee inquiries regarding the organization’s processes, policies, procedures, and programs.
- Interfaces with managers and health care professionals to coordinate accommodations, return-to-work, light duty, and other responses for injured or disabled employees.
- Manage the organization’s employee database and prepare reports.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
- Assist People Operations team with other general employee related duties and special projects – employee engagement.
- Maintains and orders supplies for the People Operations department as needed.

- 2+ years of HR experience
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
