Human Resources Generalist

DeWaard & Bode, Whatcom, and Skagit counties' largest, local appliance and mattress retailer is hiring! Our growing business is seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist.

Compensation for this position starts at $27/hour. In this role, you'll have the opportunity for growth, and the ability to increase your compensation.

Range - $27 - $35/hr

Responsibilities:

• Performs full-cycle recruiting through screening, recruiting, and interviewing candidates.
• Onboarding and welcoming new employees.
• Processes new hire paperwork, verifies I-9 documents using E-Verify, and entering employee data into ADP.
• Manages uniform inventory
• Reviews, implements, and manages company’s safety program
• Manages all Worker’s Compensation cases
• Demonstrates and implements company culture, values, and policies.
• Manages employee benefits programs
• Conducts benefits enrollments and terminations
• Accurately creates and maintains employee files.
• Manages and reviews employee handbook.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
• Knowledge of labor and employment laws
• Ability to build rapport with all employees
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
