This position is open at OPA Ortho in Seattle, WA. OPA physicians are board certified in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Physiatry, and Anesthesiology / Interventional Pain Medicine. Responsibilities
The Human Resource Generalist will support the daily functions of Human Resource at the local level in collaboration with the SCA Health HR/Payroll department. Reporting to the Director, HRBP at SCA Health this work may include and is not limited to all HR operations such as recruiting and onboarding new teammates, benefit administration and support, leave administration, compensation, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, training and development, answering employment-related inquiries, maintaining regulatory and legal compliance, and other duties as assigned.
Human Resource Generalist Responsbilities:
- Facilitates the talent acquisition process locally which could include positing jobs, collaborating with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings, conducting screening interviews when needed, scheduling interviews of qualified job applicants for open positions with hiring managers, making verbal job offers and completing the offer process for selected applicants.
- Implements new hire orientation and completes new hire employee files.
- At the direction of the HRBP in partnership with the CEO, performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, teammates, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff including coordination with the broader SCA Health HR/Payroll team.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Human Resource Generalist Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred.
- Two or more years of Human Resources working experience within a physician practice.
- SHRM-CP a plus.
