Job Description
Founded in 2009, KBEC Group, Inc., pronounced kay-bec, offers a wide range of educational, work readiness training, and social services, specializing in comprehensive services for youth and adults with intellectual, cognitive, learning, and/or emotional disabilities. Specifically, KBEC provides community support for inclusive adaptive living skill development, wrap-around social services, and community residential living to youth, families, schools, and school districts with a focus on person-centered thinking and planning. KBEC is currently seeking a skilled Human Resources (HR) Generalist.
Position Summary: The HR Generalist will support HR efforts by doing special projects and managing the general administration of the Human Resources functions regarding employee onboarding, background checks, benefits, payroll, training and development, legal compliance, and other human resource issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing timely assistance to team members regarding benefit and human resource questions and issues.
- Maintaining employee personnel files
- Preparing offer packets, benefit packets and other employee related
- Coordinating employee benefit eligibility, enrollments, terminations, and
- Coordinating new hire paperwork, and new hire orientation
- Assisting with the creation HR policies and procedures
- Updating and reviewing job descriptions
- Coordinating and setting-up training classes
- Writing and placing employment ads, as well as maintaining the applicant tracking
- Reviewing, screening, and maintaining applications and
- Conducting background screenings for all prospective employees
- Coordinating 90-day and annual performance appraisals
- Assisting with creation, distribution and collection of feedback from company-wide annual survey.
- Assisting with providing research for policies, training, strategic planning, and other human resource issues.
- Coordinating benefit plan due diligence with Director, Human
- Assisting in preparation of special events such as company's year-end celebration and other office or company gatherings.
- Serving as back-up for semi-monthly payroll processing
- Assisting with providing compliance in all areas of Human Resources
- Assisting with additional projects, as necessary
Knowledge/Critical Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required
- Two to five years of HR Generalist experience
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Publisher
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong math skills
- Good organizational skills

- Works in an office
- Works under moderate
- Frequently types and writes on computer and uses phone. Occasionally moves about to coordinate work.
