The Human Resources Coordinator aids with and facilitates the Human Resources processes and is supported by the Human Resources Director. This position resolves benefits-related problems and ensures effective use of plans, recruitment, processing of payroll and positive employee relations. The HR Coordinator ensures that certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry. This position supports day-to-day operations and positive employee relations across all WV locations and will work remotely from Ohio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions
- Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests
- Maintain both hard and digital copies of employees' records
- Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks and issuing employment contracts
- Assist with performance management and employee engagement procedures
- Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events and maintain agendas
- Coordinate training sessions and seminars
- Perform orientations and update records of new staff
- Manages processing of payroll, payroll reports and HR projects
- Work with managers and personnel to identify HR issues and provide leadership and support in finding solutions
- Reconciles benefits statements
- Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action
- Files documents into appropriate employee files
- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
- Support other assigned functions
- Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practice
- Other duties as assigned
