Thompson Hine LLP is an Am Law 200 law firm regularly recognized for our commitment to Innovation and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, is currently seeking a Legal Talent Coordinator in our Cleveland, Ohio office. The Legal Talent Coordinator will be an integral member of the Talent Management team.
The Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Legal Talent and Managers of Legal Talent to perform day-to-day recruiting functions for all firm offices.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lateral Recruiting
Provides administrative support for the lateral candidate process, including:
- Coordinates candidate interviews, circulates interview schedules, and collects and compiles evaluations/feedback.
- Participates in panel interviews.
- Drafts offer letters.
- Oversees diligence process, including background checks, conflicts analysis and reference check.
- Handles data entry in viRecruit, including entering and updating applicant information, uploading resumes, candidate status tracking, generating reports, and candidate maintenance.
- Handles all data entry in Red Carpet, including entering and updating candidate information and managing throughout the onboarding process.
- Creates Employment Status Publications (“ESP”s) for new attorney hires.
- Drafts welcome emails.
- Coordinates orientation schedules for new attorney hires.
Summer Program
Provides support to the Summer Program, which begins in May and ends in July each year. These responsibilities may include:
- Coordination/logistics of summer associate orientation.
- Monitor assignment database and the completion of work evaluations.
- Organize and attend social events, which includes some evenings.
- Monitor summer program expenses and reimbursements.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. The employee may be asked to perform additional duties not listed in the job description as required by business needs.
2. Attend weekly Talent Management team meetings.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree preferred.
2. Two+ years of administrative experience.
3. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
4. Impeccable attention to detail.
5. Desire and willingness to be proactive.
6. Strong computer skills required.
7. Spreadsheet and database experience required; advanced functions of Excel preferred.
8. Position often requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties; especially from May to September during the firm’s Summer Program and On-Campus Interview programs.
9. Willingness and ability to assist other department employees as needed.
10. Individual must be able to remain focused and productive in an open work area.
11. This position constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (e.g., copiers, fax machines, etc.).
12. This position constantly communicates with staff and attorneys. Individual must be able to confidently and accurately communicate in both written and verbal form.
13. This person is able to perform essential functions with or without a reasonable accommodation.
