The Human Resources Coordinator assists in the execution of corporate and HR programs and processes. The duties involve a wide range of activities inside the HR Department to meet organizational needs, including special projects, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, training, and documentation. This position will provide day-to-day administrative support to the Chief Administrative Officer, Directors, and Managers within the department.
Responsibilities- Assists with special projects and programs such as employee recognition and employee surveys.
- Primary backup for HR Assistant/Receptionist.
- Prepares and reconciles monthly invoices for the HR department.
- Assists in recruiting, onboarding, and employee events.
- Timely and efficient drafting, development, editing and copying of materials and presentations.
- Scans and loads HR department documents into CCMS and provides filing administrative support.
- Provides HR project support as needed.
- Letters, memos, and other correspondence developed in a professional manner.
- Provides HR support to include requesting criminal background checks, motor vehicle records checks, researching & sourcing topics, providing reporting support using HRIS (ULTIPRO) system and processing employment reference checks and employment verifications.
- Due to the client focused nature of HR, the ability to work required overtime is an essential function of this position.
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- The ability to handle necessary stress and work well with others are essential functions of this position.
- High School diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service aptitude and mindset.
- Ability to establish the appropriate priorities and work with a sense of urgency.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a superior work ethic.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Maintain confidentiality in all Human Resources Department activities to protect the privacy of employees and management and ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements imposed by law and policy.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programs, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to multi-task, organize and change directions quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to work with a team and independently and sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Competent and professional in both written and verbal communications with internal or external customers.
- Strong technical aptitude: able to learn HRIS reporting system and provide additional support as needed.
- A professional appearance and a pleasant demeanor along with the ability to remain calm under pressure, required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business or related field
- Professional Human Resources (PHR) or experience
- Professional social media experience.
