Position Overview:
We are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our North America Human Resources team as they focus on enhancing the employee experience, building people-focused practices, and driving HR functional excellence.
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, Americas, this position is a champion of engagement and compliance that is responsible for managing duties including recordkeeping, onboarding, and HRIS administration.
The successful candidate is highly organized and detail-oriented; has strong communication skills; and will be familiar with best practices for HR and our employees but would be comfortable taking initiative to find solutions as needed.
As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will:
- Establish and maintain individual personnel files; Digitize existing physical documentation
- Utilize UKG as recordkeeping system; Enter data, upload documents, and conduct appropriate review and audits
- Assist in monitoring shared inboxes and respond to employee requests
- Welcome new employees to the organization by facilitating onboarding processes; Drive compliant and supportive offboarding processes
- Support payroll function by updating pay period summary, triaging relevant inquiries
- Participate in HR audits to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and legal requirements
- Assist in the development, communication, and implementation of regional HR policies & procedures; Ensure compliance with company-wide HR policies and procedures
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
- Minimum 2 years of prior professional HR experience
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus
- Prior professional experience with HRIS; experience with UKG/UltiPro a plus
- Superior attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy and efficiency
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to effectively perform in a team environment
- Strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach
- Ability to perform work independently, effectively handle multiple priorities, and deliver to deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and documentation
- Understanding of federal/state/local legal requirements
Working Conditions and Location:
- McLean, VA (Hybrid).
- Duties will require use of phone and computer to interact with others in a professional environment.
- Office environment will have exposure to computer screens and related equipment.
