We are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our Corporate HR Team. As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will be one of the primary point contacts for the Human Resources function in our West and South Central Regions (California, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, and Texas), supporting 29 agencies with approximately 350 employees. This position will pro-actively communicate needs of the agencies to the HR department colleagues within the Centers of Excellence (COE) and management. The HRBP seeks to develop practical solutions and is a champion for new HR initiatives and programs. The HRBP will formulate partnerships across the HR team to deliver value added services to the agencies that reflect the business objectives of Patriot.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Employee Relations/Communication:

  • Develop positive working relationships and partnerships with agencies in the West and South West by embedding themselves into the business to work closely with agency leadership and Corporate team members.
  • Maintain a high level of business knowledge about the agency business objectives, culture, and challenges.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director of HR and local leadership to provide hands-on guidance, coaching, and support on HR policies/procedures and best practices.
  • Meet with agency leaderships regarding employee and labor relations coaching/development, conflict management, fair and consistent policy and procedure interpretation/application, corrective action, and separations.

Employee Lifecycle Management:

  • Support agencies with their talent management initiatives by assisting agencies with recruiting, including helping develop job postings and job descriptions alongside the compliance department.
  • Upon selection of candidate, oversee the offer and onboarding process for new team members alongside the HR team.
  • Manage employee changes and ensure all employee electronic files and documentation is completed accurately and on time. Maintain proper HR documentation and other employee documents within our HRIS.
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to engage staff in employee development and training needs.
  • Coordinate employee resignations and separation processes; conduct exit interviews and work with the Regional Director of HR to analyze turnover trends.

HR Operational Leadership:

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives alongside team members in the HR department.
  • Partner with and utilize the resources of the COEs across the Corporate team, including finance, IT, recruiting, employee engagement, HR compliance, payroll and benefits, M&A, and corporate operations to develop values-based solutions for agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field, or equivalent Human Resources experience.
  • 5-7 years Human Resources Generalist Experience
  • Experience working in a multi-state matrix environment (focus on south central and west regions).
  • Experience working with a Human Resources Information System (UKG experience is a plus).
  • Occasional travel to agencies may be requested.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be customer service oriented with demonstrated ability to dig in and resolve issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills to handle multiple tasks in an environment with defined processes, large volumes of data, requests, and deadlines.
  • Significant attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret and apply the appropriate state specific sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and in a matrix environment.

^Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000

^A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
