Job Overview:
As a Human Resources Assistant, you will provide comprehensive HR support and services to ensure the organization runs effectively and its associates are well-supported.
This hybrid opportunity is based out of our city corporate office in Chicago, IL.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional levels of service to our associates by answering questions, responding in a timely manner, and following up on information needed.
- Provide administrative support and organization to HR department.
- Maintain accurate associate records and HR information systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Conduct new associate onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure optimal associate experience.
- Process all background checks and applicable drug screenings for all corporate and client employees.
- Collect, track, and report on all required industry licensing and designations for all applicable associates
- Complete I-9 verifications through e-Verify.
- Provide timely documentation for associate separations and conduct exit interviews.
- Provide associate HRIS assistance and support bi-weekly corporate payroll, including special entries, audits, and review.
- Review and process invoice payments for services within HR department.
- Support local and national Human Resources and business initiatives with assigned projects, process improvements, and best practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- One year of Human Resources experience, preferred.
- ADP Vantage experience, preferred.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- E-Verify for I-9 verification experience, preferred.
- Works effectively with coworkers, clients, customers, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; addresses problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Able to maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations
