JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary:
Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Generalist on all personnel matters and assists with payroll processing.
Work Hours are primarily Monday through Friday 9am to 5:30pm in office There will be exceptions. You must be flexible. Exceptions will take place when account manager has a human resource issue and the interview will take place after normal business hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Staffing: Hire and interview applicants for all Managers, make sure all applications are complete
•Keep OSHA log on all new workers comp accidents
•Call and follow up on all outstanding claims both liability and workers compensation
•Train managers on the Unemployment handbook
•File all HR papers as necessary
•Work with and oversee the disciplinary actions of managers and supervisors
•Answer calls Maintains all employee records, including but not limited to: changes to demographic information, transfers, demotions, discipline, workers compensation, compensation, and time off. Grievances and work with managers in addressing the union
•Prepares applicable letters, reports, and completes data entry as required.
•Represents Company at unemployment compensation hearings at the absence of the manager.
•Communicates with benefits broker to make applicable changes to employees (i.e.: open enrollment, new hires, life event changes and terminations).
• Utilizes internal procedures to ensure the accuracy of employee data in ADP For ACA
• •Communicate life events or achievements to Marketing/Ops Administrator for Company Newsletter updates
•Assists employment verification requests.
•Readily assists with all on-going departmental projects.
•Assists with backup to payroll process.
•Assemble and submit Work Opportunity Tax Credit Forms.
• Any other duty as assigned by the Human Resources/Payroll Manager.
•Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
•Assists Conducts benefits enrollment for new employees.
•Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains required Document.
•Assists with New Hires Orientation and on boarding process.
•Assists with Sending Documentation via DocuSign to employees and clients
•Assists with Drug and Alcohol testing
•Submits the online investigation requests and assists with new employee background checks.
•Assists Reconciles the benefits statements for payment.
•Assists Performs payroll/benefit-related reconciliations to General Ledger and other accounts.
•Conducts audits of various payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends any corrective action.
•Updates HR spreadsheet with employee change requests and processes paperwork.
•Assists with processing of terminations and sending out termination letters.
•Assists with upload disciplinary action on the ADP Portal.
•Assists with keeping all employees record update on the portal
•Assists with the preparation of the performance review forms.
•Assists HR Director with various research projects and/or special projects.
•Assists with recruitment and interview process.
•Assist with Work with ADP employment Counselor for terminations and layoffs
•Assists with the various employee discount coupons by contacting companies for coupons as directed by HR Manager.
•Schedule's meetings and interviews as requested by HR Manager.
Patriciates in recruiting job fairs, any other HR related events
•Schedules conferences calls, zoom , team meeting or off-site visits
•Makes photocopies, faxes document and performs other clerical functions.
•Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
•Assists or prepares correspondence.
•Prepares new employee files.
•Processes mail termination letter .
.Processes FMLA request mail out letter
•Performs other duties as assigned.
•Assists with Id Badges for all new hires
•Assists with order uniform for New and on-going site
