Position Overview:
In the Human Resources Admin role, you will support the Human Resources Manager on a variety of administrative components such as HR programs, policies, projects, employment changes, and organizational initiatives. This position is integral in supporting all employees. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast paced work environment, sees challenges as opportunities, believes in the value of continuous improvement and is looking to develop themselves through a variety of HR experiences. We are seeking a new team member who has expert analytical and reporting skills and is comfortable managing a wide range of administrative tasks and meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering, compiling, and reviewing new hire paperwork.
- Register and input all new hires into JDE checking for accuracy and completeness.
- Create new employee files on server and in HR Tracking
- Answer general Human Resource questions as well as insurance questions.
- Complete employment verification requests
- Assist with drug testing procedures, including ordering and scheduling while continuing to communicate with the employee.
- Identify opportunities to streamline or automate HR processes to continuously improve service delivery.
- Assist with open enrollment as needed.
- Assist with rolling out new benefit plans and corresponding with employees.
- Process employee termination paperwork as needed.
- Answer calls from new union employees out of the Union Hall and assist with questions.
- Monitor and track completion of trainings for new employees before hire date.
- Provides data administration for all employee change actions as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree OR Completion of a relevant post-secondary program in HR Management or equivalent is preferred
- High School diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1-2 years in an HR Coordinator or Generalist role
- Brings a positive attitude and enthusiasm to the work!
- Expert MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain information in an organized and concise way
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail, with the ability to meet challenging deadlines
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Independent delivery with the ability to work in a team-driven environment
