Job Title: HR Administrative Assistant

Location: South Phoenix, AZ

Pay: $20/hourly

Job Summary:

We are seeking an HR Administrative Assistant to join an established construction company's HR department. This position will play a crucial role in supporting HR operations and ensuring the efficient delivery of administrative tasks. The HR Administrative Assistant will work closely with the HR team and various departments to maintain personnel records, coordinate recruitment efforts, and facilitate employee communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, attendance, and performance evaluations.

  • Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.

  • Coordinate new hire orientations and assist in onboarding processes, including preparing new hire paperwork and facilitating training sessions.

  • Handle employee inquiries and provide assistance on HR-related matters, such as benefits, policies, and procedures.

  • Process payroll information and ensure accuracy in timekeeping records.

  • Assist in organizing employee events, meetings, and training sessions.

  • Prepare HR-related documents, such as employment contracts, offer letters, and termination letters.

  • Maintain confidentiality of HR information and adhere to data protection regulations.

  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Manager or Director.

  • Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, scanning, and managing office supplies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or HR assistant, preferably in the construction or related industry.

  • Knowledge of HR processes and procedures, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.

  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and proficiency in MS Office Suite.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in administrative tasks.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in HR or administrative field is a plus.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

  • Criminal Background & Drug Screening

  • 2 verifiable employment references
