Our People & Culture (Human Resources) Intern will work cross functionally across the P&C organization with an emphasis on compensation practices, systems and tools. You will help the People & Culture team deliver on a key project and gain exposure to Navistar.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Evaluate various compensation systems provided by different vendors, including the necessary IT linkages, analysis approach compared to our current methods, ability to meet state and local requirements, and integration into other compensation processes.
- Prepare a business case recommendation to proceed or not proceed with a systems acquisition based on a fully detailed pro and con analysis and ROI.
Minimum Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree

- Must be able to provide housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required - For certain positions (Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information)
- Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B or F-1 status)
Desired Skills
- At least Sophomore standing for undergrad at the time of application
- Able to work at least 12 weeks (starting the end of May or early June through August)
- Previous applicable internships
- Self-starter
- High level of computer skills (Microsoft Applications and Internet)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to problem solve and work independently
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to develop strong relationships across the P&C organization
