About the Job
The HR Manager serves as a trusted business partner, executing strategic HR plans to further business goals and create a best place to work for associates. The HR Manager provides frontline, day-to-day support in administering Human Resources policies and programs covering a broad range of HR topics which include staffing, on-boarding, associate interactions & support, performance management, and training & development. Position also takes partners to support workers compensation, total rewards, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and policy interpretation. A large component of the role works in partnership with corporate-based leaders within all functions and will be focused on associate relations, project management, and the company’s internal culture initiatives.
A day in the life, what you’ll be doing:
- Oversees, HR Coordinator in areas of company communication, company culture events, and assigned projects.
- Maintains compliance of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reports comply.
- Advises management in appropriate resolution of associate relations issues.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Oversee and assists in new hire orientation to foster a positive experience towards company goals and objectives.
- Supports administration of programs of the company in areas of training/development, compensation, performance assessments, and ADA in partnership with the Total Rewards team.
- Conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations. Use information to coach managers/supervisors and devise programs for increase retention statistics with a focus on associate engagement.
- Assists in development of management in interviewing skills, hiring procedures, promotion and termination procedures, performance review skills, safety procedures, and sexual harassment policies and other employee/management protocols.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Responsible for enterprise level projects involving creation of standard operating procedures, communication, and deployment strategies.
- Supports DEI initiatives through design of company policies that reinforce diversity in the workplace, addressing protection from harassment and support for minority groups and women.
- Train hiring managers and HR staff on how to select, manage, evaluate and retain diverse associates.
- Measure and forecast diversity metrics.
- Organize company communication that boosts associate’s team spirit.
- Represent our company at various career events.
What it takes to Join:
- College degree required.
- Ten years of HR experience in a HR leadership role can supersede college degree.
- Four to six years’ related experience in a HR leadership role
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers/supervisors, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, Internet software and Human Resource Systems (UKG, preferred) · Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work as a team member.
- PHR or SPHR certified through HRCI a plus

Salary Range: $95,413-$106,808

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. As a National Retailer, occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required during periods of high volume. This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
