Position Summary:
The Director, Fiscal Affairs will oversee all budget planning and financial operations for the NYU School of Global Public Health. Responsibilities include a) developing financial models and systems for budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning; b) developing and implementing short and long term strategic plans to meet school objectives; c) projecting and managing all income and expense; and d) fostering a culture of responsible stewardship, policy compliance, and administrative efficiency throughout NYU GPH. Reporting to the Vice Dean of Finance and Administration, the Director will work with internal academic departments in all budget planning and financial operations activities, and will collaborate with University finance and administrative offices to resolve problems, set policies, and negotiate effective solutions
Qualifications:
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree Finance, Accounting or related field
Required Experience:
7+ years experience in financial management, planning, analysis and budget
Preferred Experience:
5+ years Experience in large university or college setting.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal). Sound knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and University policies. Ability to collaborate in a collegial manner with internal and external resources and staff. Advanced expertise in Excel and experience with financial modeling. Strong understanding and practice of project management,
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency in financial data and query-based applications.
Additional Information:
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $150,000.00 to USD $190,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
