About the Position: We have an opportunity open for a Human Resource Manager to join our close knit team of 40 Associates. The Human Resource Manager will promote the principles, values, vision, and mission of PHIL and support the total operation in meeting its goals. This is accomplished through the completion of various tasks falling under the major categories of recruitment, hiring, workforce development, communication, Associate morale, compensation, performance management, , benefits administration, wellness, and aid in environmental health and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Assists management in decision-making involving hiring and organizational development.
- Plans recruitment strategies by working with recruitment agencies, attending hiring events/job fairs, creating job advertisements, working with local high schools and colleges to find candidates for open positions.
- Conducts onboarding process from start to finish including pre-employment paperwork and screenings, Company introductions, and education of Company policies and procedures.
- Participates as an advisor of all Associate Committees including engagement, safety, and philanthropy.
- Communicates policy changes, personnel changes, benefit changes, special dates of events, and other pertinent information to Associates.
- Executes annual compliance training, open enrollment, wellness program, safety training plan, and pre-hire testing.
- Distributes and maintains annual performance reviews and compensation updates as needed by completing annual compensation surveys.
- Reports, posts, and maintains records of workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Oversees and executes and manages the Emergency Response Plan.
Experience Required:
- Willingness to accommodate planned travel to various local destinations for training and job-related errands and events
- Must have advanced knowledge and a strong proficiency of Microsoft Office Products e.g., Excel, Outlook, & Word
- 2-Year degree or certificate in a program or major relative to the position
- OR 4 years related experience in an industry relative to the Company.
