- Managing various HR functions such as recruitment, training, employee relations, compensations, health and safety, payroll, and HRIS system management.
- Experience in managing in a union environment.
- Conducting full-cycle recruiting, from job postings to new employee orientation, and managing onboarding activities.
- Administering payroll processes for both hourly and salaried staff on a weekly and semimonthly basis.
- Providing ongoing employee training in areas like health and safety, performance management, and recognition.
- Ensuring a positive work environment by organizing employee activities and events.
- Administering company leave programs and managing worker's compensation claims, ensuring compliance with employment laws.
- Maintaining HR analytic reports and assisting in employee training & development processes.
- Supporting the implementation and consistent application of Human Resources policies.
- Managing HR projects at the plant level and facilitating timely communication of HR memos, programs, and policies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge/experience in Lean operating systems and ability to work flexible hours.
- Proficiency in HRIS, Kronos, and payroll systems, along with excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Experience in conducting employee investigations and knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Minimum of 3 years of related Human Resources and labor relations experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
