P/T Human Resource Director Position
Open Door Community House, a 501c3 organization in Columbus, Georgia, seeks a P/T (up to 25 hours per week) professional Human Resource Director to plan, direct, and coordinate all components of the Human Resource Department.

The Human Resource Director will be responsible for policy development and implementation, staff development activities, and ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and staffing strategy.
Responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategies related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, trainings, staff evaluations with department directors, initiatives and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations, performance and staff management in consult with department directors; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety, and training and development.
- Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, staff management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to community changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Works with appropriate leadership team members/department directors to recruit and hire staff.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy and laws and regulations governing such.
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is required. At least three years of human resource management experience is required.
The starting salary for this position is $28,000. Paid Time Off (PTO) is offered based on hours worked.
