Job Description
The Director, Program Performance Analyst is an important role in ensuring the success of the newly established Program Performance Office responsible for capability building and performance tracking of outcomes, milestones, and objectives (e.g., enrollment, shared services, budget) of the HBCU Transformation Project (HTP) across the United Negro College Fund, Inc. (UNCF), Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), and The Partnership for Education Advancement (EdAdvance). The analyst will report directly to UNCF’s Program Performance Officer and collaborate directly with personnel from UNCF, TMCF, EdAdv and select donors.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
Develop content to support and facilitate joint decision-making meetings.
Produce data, analyses, reports and PowerPoint presentations needed to support discussions / updates with existing investors (e.g., BMP) and potential investors / stakeholders to expand the relationship base in supporting the broader collaboration of UNCF, TMCF, and EdAdv in supporting public and private HBCUs.
With guidance from the Program Performance Officer, support and lead weekly performance office meetings and engage intermediary personnel (e.g., CEO’s, vice presidents, institutional program managers) as needed. Capture and track actions and follow up as needed.
Produce data and content needed to support and capture meeting notes reflecting main decisions and outcomes for bi-weekly/ monthly /quarterly meetings.
Support in tracking program performance and delivery of program outcomes.
Drive ongoing data analysis, forecasting, and research to inform continuous improvement and corrections for overall HTP performance.
As needed, help to define and align on interim measures /indicators across intermediaries for outcomes and milestones to provide more frequent, directional indication of progress toward outcomes and milestones.
Lead Data Analytics staff in the Performance Office ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness of data and reports. Support the Program Performance Officer in maintaining the most recent view of program performance across a variety of formats needed (e.g., predictive analytics, institutional deep dives on performance).
Coordinate monthly review of progress across institutions using the preferred data governance platform across intermediaries (e.g., WAVE, Technolutions Slate).
Coordinate quarterly reconciliation and impact tracking of intermediary spend to grant allocation (including programmatic / financial reporting).
Support management of program performance
Work directly with intermediary personnel (e.g., governance committee, shared service initiative owners, institutional program managers) to ensure consistent tracking toward outcomes, milestones, and objectives of the HBCU Transformation Project.
Serve as a strategic thought partner in probing initiative rationale (e.g., questions to push problem solving, clarifications). Brief Program Performance Officer on issues/updates (in structured top-down manner, as needed), facilitate discussions / present in meetings (as needed), and
Support initiative owners across intermediaries with the development of business cases, including thought partnership in refining analyses on feasibility, cost, and revenue impact of all initiatives.
As appropriate, provide an independent perspective to initiatives through strategic thinking about best practices from HBCUs (or other higher education institutions/entities) related efforts, industry trends; conducting market research; etc.
As needed, lead and conduct training for new intermediary personnel related to the initiative creation process.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics or similar field. 3-5 years of higher education experience focused on coordinating university-wide strategic, comprehensive, and ongoing assessment programs, projects, and activities measuring student success and institutional effectiveness (e.g., institutional assessment/research).
· Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate multiple, simultaneous projects at moderate to high levels of complexity is required.
· Ability to translate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
· Advanced Data Analytics, visualizations, dashboard development and/or statistical tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Python, SQL, etc.).
· Background in modeling (e.g., excel).
· Experience in project management role involving senior executives is a plus.

· Pragmatic problem-solver (80/20). Demonstrated aptitude for analytical/conceptual problem-solving; comfort with quantitative analysis and managerial accounting.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while balancing attention to detail.
· Comfort and experience with analyzing data and helping to structure data for data-informed decision making.
· Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and across organizations with the ability to communicate well with roles of all levels.
· Ability to build and create content across a variety of formats (e.g., Word, PowerPoint)
· Program management experience in driving large-scale, transformational change programs is a huge plus.

Salary range: $100,900.00 - $127,000.00. The salary is commensurate with experience, salary range may be lower in other geographic locations.This is a hybrid telework position that requires at least two days' presence in the Atlanta office.
