Long Description
Lead the deployment of the Southwire Lean model across the P&C Function.
- Partner with P&C CEOs and Business Partners to assess current processes and identify improvement opportunities to meet and exceed – Financial and Human Capital metrics.
- Manage selecting, scoping, and prioritizing projects, including review of resource utilization across the organization.
- Partner with the P&C leadership team to establish centralized KPIs for the organization and lead the capture, reporting, and governance of these KPIs.
- Be hands-on and data-driven in the approach towards deployment of the Southwire Lean Model.
- Develop and manage financial benefit, cost budgets, and key performance indicator bowlers related to significant activities.
- Facilitate Kaizen events using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to generate priority initiatives with measurable results.
- Collaborate with leadership team peers to create best practices related to all functions to further align with overall business strategy.
- Own the Lean Maturity assessments and improvement initiatives for the P&C Function. Partner with P&C Leadership to formulate a long-term vision for tools/system deployments within Southwire.
- Key driver of change within the business, supporting cross-functional decisions by communicating the enterprise-wide changes to team members and helping them to learn, understand, adjust, and grow with the company’s Operational Excellence Culture.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in deploying a lean across an enterprise
- Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred
- Cross-functional P&C experience desired (Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Total Rewards, etc)
- Detailed knowledge and experience in deploying a daily Lean Management system
- Development and Implementation of Key Performance Indicators
- Strategy Deployment Process (SDP) / Hoshin Kanri
- Ability to develop Operational Excellence Talent
- Expert level within the following Lean Enterprise Tools: Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standardized Workflow, TPM, SMED, Continuous Flow/ Pull Systems, Problem Solving and 3P
- High level of Accountability: ability to assess personal performance through metric improvement
- Proven ability to coach, train, mentor, and facilitate from the ICs to the Executive Level
- Strong interpersonal communication skills at all levels of the organization
- High technical or operational experience around productivity, problem-solving methodologies, financials, materials, and quality.
- Minimum of 50-75% travel required
