Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant is responsible for administrative support for the Human Resources department as well as supporting the Human Resources Coordinator in the area of recruiting following California employment law, company policies, and the needs of the organization. This may include assisting with special projects and preparing for special events. The Human Resources Assistant is also responsible for providing excellent customer service to all Noah Homes employees and applicants. The Human Resources Assistant must show excellent judgment and maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive issues such as updating personnel records and performing reference checks.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Oversees initial recruitment efforts for open positions, including managing job postings and conducting initial phone screens.
Assist the Human Resources Coordinator and the Marketing team with managing Indeed and Glassdoor presence and the Noah Homes website career page appearance.
Assist the Human Resources Coordinator with additional recruiting and interviewing tasks, as needed.
Assist the Human Resources Coordinator, as assigned, with reference checks and other administrative hiring tasks, including preparation of offer letters.
Responsible for documentation and filing support to the Human Resources team.
Perform background verification and other employment verifications.
Create new employee files and ensure that employee records are maintained following licensing regulations, legal requirements, and Noah Homes policies and procedures.
Creates new employee profiles in applicable HRIS systems.
Assist the Human Resources Director with Human Resources tasks as assigned.
Respond to employee and employee-related inquiries handled in a prompt and friendly manner, referring to supervisors when appropriate.
Maintains the Company's professional reputation at all times.
Performs additional projects upon request based on the needs of the organization.
