HR Recruiting Assistant
The Human Resources Recruiting Assistant manages and organizes recruiting and onboarding processes, ensuring legal compliance and adherence to company policies and procedures. The ideal applicant has administrative experience, is proficient with new technologies, and will deliver an excellent employee experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assists with Job Fairs, Career Days, Educational Outreach, and Special Events
- Ensures efficient operational processes for the department
- Posts job requisitions and screening applications in Applicant Tracking System
- Regularly communicates with Hiring Managers to ensure efficient processes within the Talent Lifecycle
- Processes Job Offers and Terminations
- Drafts and sends company and individual communications
- Maintains employee files both physically and within the HRIS
- Tracks, processes and submits NYS Gaming Commission, Racing & Wagering, or other state required licensing applications
- Answers calls, email, and in-person inquiries in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
- Manages and maintains spreadsheets and documents
- Arranges Training and Onboarding activities
- Conducts pre-hire licensing reviews and new hire orientations
- Ensures confidentiality and protection of employee information.

Preferred Qualifications:*
- Associate's Degree and 2-4 years of human resources or administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) in a professional setting
- Experience using ADP or other HRIS
- Experience in planning and scheduling
- Customer Service experience in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to manage multiple competing priorities and frequent interruptions
- Must be highly organized

Office Hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday - Wednesday and 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Thursday and Friday. This position requires in-office attendance and occasional local travel for events and job fairs. Remote work is not available.
While performing the duties of this job, the Associate is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The associate frequently is required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The associate is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
