The West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, Inc. (WSFSSH) is a community-based organization whose mission is to provide safe, affordable housing with supportive services within a residential setting which enhances the independence and dignity of each person. Job Duties:
- Responsible for assisting and supporting the Human Resources department on all recruiting activities.
- Source candidates using network, colleges, online and internal databases, employee referrals and passive candidates to build a robust candidate pipeline.
- Create and organize external recruiting sources and events to generate a pipeline of candidates for current and future job opportunities.
- Manage full cycle recruitment and perform employee pre-employment checks for MSS candidates.
- Collaborate with the Hiring Manager to identify their hiring needs.
- Schedule candidate interviews with the Hiring Manager and act as a primary contact for candidates throughout the process.
- Managing the onboarding including creating and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training materials and video resources for new MSS hires.
- Managing the Multi-Site Support internal requests and communicating the scheduling of MSS staff availability with managers.
- Create relationships with managers to assess their need for staff coverage.
- Input codes into payroll system to ensure appropriate buildings are charged for the MSS staff coverage.
- Responsible for updating the MSS SOPs and notifying all stakeholders of any changes.
- Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- BA Degree and/or 2-3 years of HR experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong organization, critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills - always looking at how to optimize processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to build relationships with candidates and effectively pitch the company's value proposition.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.
