We are seeking a Payroll -HR Specialist for our Corporate offices who will be responsible for the processing of multi-state payrolls. This position is responsible for ensuring that assigned payrolls are processed appropriately, accurately and in a timely manner. Must have understanding of HR functions to support human resources in various capacities, etc.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Processes biweekly and monthly disbursement of multi-state/provincial payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes consistent with federal, state, and provincial(?) wage and hour laws.
- Review and confirm that payroll is properly integrating with benefit information.
- Fill in for other team members as needed for vacation and high-volume work efforts.
- Strong understanding of HCM systems preferable UKG
- Processing payroll from POS integration preferred but not required.
- Restaurant HR/Payroll experience requiredpreferred
- Onboarding experience, preferably in TalentReef
- Consistently strive to maintain knowledge of current payroll laws and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Follow defined standards and reusable approaches within the payroll operational framework.
- Proactively provide input into defining standards for new or improved existing policies and procedures.
- Manage effective internal/external relationships and build positive relationships with team members as well as other departments within RREMC Group
- Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Ability to analyze information and make informed decisions based on information. Ability to track and report data as needed.
- Excellent Computer skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Paycom knowledge preferred but not required.
