Albright College is seeking applications for a part time or full time Onboarding Coordinator. The Onboarding Coordinator will support the human resources department by guiding new hires through the onboarding process and conducting new hire orientations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, initiating background checks, scheduling and conducting orientations, assigning new hire trainings, and maintain compliance for all new hire paperwork. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Onboarding Coordinator will work collaboratively with all members of the human resources team to promote a positive working environment. Candidate must demonstrate a commitment to enhancing equity and inclusion within the team and across a culturally diverse campus while celebrating people of all statuses and identities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Prepares for and conducts new hire orientations in conjunction with other members of the HR department;
- Schedules orientations and guides new hires along onboarding process
- Conducts appropriate background checks on all new hires
- Process and track all new hire paperwork
- Reviews basic benefit information with new hires
- Handles relocation reimbursements for new hires
- Reporting for all new hires
- Assigns and tracks required on-line training for new employees
- Handle HR portion of driver approval process in conjunction with the Risk and Contract Management Coordinator
- Assists HR department as needed with administrative tasks
Other essential job functions:
- Attends trainings, professional organizations, and programming to keep skills current;
- Maintains open communication channels to foster a harmonious working environment.
QUALIFICATIONS / PREREQUISITES
- COMMUNICATION
- Ability to effectively communicate with various constituents of the College, faculty, staff, supervisors, management, students and co-workers using strong and understandable language skills verbally, in reading, written work and comprehension;
- Communication must be professional, consistent with College values, mission and culture.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and fully communicate in English.

- Proven process improvement and project management skills;
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret directives and instructions;
- Ability to acquire working knowledge of College policies and procedures;
- Ability to perform simple and complex mathematical calculations;
- Ability to respond professionally to inquiries from faculty, staff, management, students, vendors, and consultants in a timely manner;

- Ability to work with the highest level of confidentiality;
- Advanced computer skills including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point), internet, e-mail, word processing, etc.;
- Advanced personnel database skills and experience;
- Ability to represent the department and College professionally.

- EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
- 1+ years of experience
- Experience in Higher Education desirable.
- EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in related field required; or, equivalent combination of related work experience and education.
