Hr Onboarding Specialist (Part-Time)

At Project Transition, it's our mission to enable individual persons who have serious mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorder and/or a dual diagnoses of SMI and IDD live a life that is meaningful to her or him in the community on terms she/he defines.

Summary Job Description:

On-boarding is the most important element in the recruitment, orienting, and retaining high quality talent. It requires constant monitoring and follow-up to ensure all local payors and state staffing regulations are adhered to.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Initiate contact and ongoing communication with potential candidates until orientation is completed. This includes emails, phones calls, and at times text messages.
• Request all required documents to initiate background checks (both state and FBI fingerprints
• Verification of employment, professional licenses, and education and follow-up
• Validate reference history and follow-up
• Run driver’s license reports
• Requests for IT support and equipment orders
• Organize orientation schedules/presentations
• Schedule drug screenings and continuous monitoring for results.
• Communicate any disqualifying information and withdrawal of offers
• Accept Resignations/Terminations and initiate off boarding process
• Conduct resignation/termination of employment surveys and report findings to Executive Teams
• Prepare Audit personnel requests (JACHO, CRR,DDAP)
• Attend Job Fair
• Complete continuing educational requirements as aligned with regulatory compliance
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or relevant field preferred
• Proven experience as a HR Specialist, or similar role
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent Organizational skills
• Solid Computer Skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
• Team spirit
