At Project Transition, it's our mission to enable individual persons who have serious mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorder and/or a dual diagnoses of SMI and IDD live a life that is meaningful to her or him in the community on terms she/he defines.
Summary Job Description:
On-boarding is the most important element in the recruitment, orienting, and retaining high quality talent. It requires constant monitoring and follow-up to ensure all local payors and state staffing regulations are adhered to.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Initiate contact and ongoing communication with potential candidates until orientation is completed. This includes emails, phones calls, and at times text messages.
- Request all required documents to initiate background checks (both state and FBI fingerprints
- Verification of employment, professional licenses, and education and follow-up
- Validate reference history and follow-up
- Run driver’s license reports
- Requests for IT support and equipment orders
- Organize orientation schedules/presentations
- Schedule drug screenings and continuous monitoring for results.
- Communicate any disqualifying information and withdrawal of offers
- Accept Resignations/Terminations and initiate off boarding process
- Conduct resignation/termination of employment surveys and report findings to Executive Teams
- Prepare Audit personnel requests (JACHO, CRR,DDAP)
- Attend Job Fair
- Complete continuing educational requirements as aligned with regulatory compliance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or relevant field preferred
- Proven experience as a HR Specialist, or similar role
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent Organizational skills
- Solid Computer Skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
