Job Description
Do you want to be part of a dynamic HR team that is an essential partner to our business strategy? Albemarle is looking for an experienced, energetic, influential, and self-motivated individual with high integrity and strong organizational skills to fill the HR Manager, America's Major Capital Projects role. This position is part of the Capital Projects Human Resources organization and will be responsible for providing HR leadership to our rapidly growing America's Major Capital Projects organization. This role will collaborate closely with Capital Projects Leadership to deliver on and operationalize our talent strategy by thinking strategically and building processes that drive both short-term and long-term organizational effectiveness.
Candidates currently located in Houston, TX will be required to relocate to the Charlotte, NC area when the North America Conversion Plant MegaFlex reaches construction phase, likely January 2024 but exact date subject to change. For candidates who are not currently located in Houston or Charlotte we will offer relocation to the Charlotte, NC area upon hire.

What you will do:
- Partner with senior leadership and HR centers of excellence to attract and select high performing Capital Projects talent.
- Advise and counsel project leadership in the development of individual talent and the advancement of team effectiveness.
- Create a talent strategy to support the build out of the America's major Capital Projects.
- Partner across all functions of HR to help support the hiring, onboarding and development of new employees for new facilities in the US.
- Instill the company's culture and values from the ground up through the strategic selection, retention and development of talent.
- Champion the company's vision and values through your leadership and in collaboration with external project partners
- Share accountability with project leadership team for reaching and exceeding performance metrics.
- Proactively consult with and advises project team/Capital Projects function on organizational issues affecting performance.
- Promote effective and regular communications with all levels.
- Implement HR initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness.

- 8+ years of relevant experience with bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration or a closely related field
- 2+ years of HR business partner experience at a site, business unit or function leadership team level
- Masters degree in Human Resources preferred
- Preferred experience in the construction, oil & gas, chemical, mining or related industries
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification a plus
