Summary:
Entry-level position to assist the POS & Fare Collection Department to ensure maximum equipment uptime, customer experience, and department administrative support.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Able to perform administrative duties: such as manage P-Card, travel request, etc.
- Monitor and support daily all fare collection equipment TVMs, TOMS and Validators using Vendor monitoring tool.
- Perform site inspection of Fare Collection Equipment at all three light rails, bus and rail locations.
- Work with vendor to troubleshoot issues with TVMs, TOMs and Validator.
- Assist with fare increase and software testing on TVMS and TOMs.
- Assist vendor with removals and relocations of TVMs/TOMs and Validators at light rail, bus and rail locations.
- Perform fare collection training and support documentation.
- Associate’s Degree or 2 years of equivalent work related experience.
- Knowledge of software products available on the NJ TRANSIT network including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook Email/Calendar
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document and present technical information to a non-technical audience.
