Job Description

The Human Resources Analyst (HRA) is responsible for analyzing business requirements from users regarding Human Resources data. The Analyst will use various metrics, reporting, and data gathering to interpret the data and provide to requestors of the data. The Analyst will also provide guidance and recommendations using the Human Resources data and evidence-based best practices to connect leadership with the tools and resources to support Biltmore’s current and future needs. The incumbent will also continually conduct research trends regarding data analysis trends for implementation.

The position will work closely with all areas of the Human Resources department with data requests. They will also partner with Operations teams and executive leadership on additional data requests. Duties include, but are not limited to: identify key reporting metrics, support creating standard and ad hoc reports, labor management reporting, and audit reporting.

The incumbent will provide general assistance and support for leadership, and work on projects as assigned within the department and company as required.

This is a Full Time position working Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm with the ability to be hybrid or remote.

Requirements:

1. Two or four-year degree in related business administration, HR, or analytics field preferred. Additional education, training, and/or certification(s) helpful not required.

2. Three (3) years of related business administration, reporting, business intelligence, statistics and/or analytics experience. Equivalent combination of education/experience considered.

3. Solid knowledge of key HCM metrics, reporting techniques, and/or trends. Previous experience working with complex dataset, business intelligence, or HRIS system. Experience with HRIS and systems reporting.

4. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; ability to explain technical information, interpret reporting data clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.

5. Ability to quickly learn Biltmore organizational structure, systems, policies, and protocols.

6. Proficiency in MS Word, and expert level use of Excel.

7. Strong ethics and a proven record of confidentiality, trust and reliability regarding HR data.

8. Excellent time/project management, organizational, and planning skills; keen attention to detail is a must; focus on accuracy, quality, and service.

9. Proactive and exercises good judgment.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Ad Hoc Custom Reporting:

  • Responds to requests to design complex technical reports and create simplified summaries for leadership, HR staff and Estate locations, including analyzing the requestor's requirements, identifying all data sources, verifying report data accuracy with requestor, and modifying/formatting/summarizing as needed.
  • Provide guidance on analysis of custom reporting to provide most value to data. If necessary, make recommendations and suggestions based on the data.
  • Identifies opportunities to create and implement specialized calculations across multiple reports, consolidate report requests, and uses knowledge of the data sources to determine accuracy and efficiencies to analyze the data to the requestor.
  • Design and implementation of reports in Workday for all users to access regarding team information via dashboards including, but not limited to labor management reporting.

2. Auditing:

  • Determine level and frequency required for internal data audits and requests updates to the audit findings. Frequent audits of employee demographic data, employee benefit assignments, and payroll history/verification.
  • Support maintenance of historical data being housed onsite for move from Ultipro to Workday (decade of employee and payroll information). Provide reports and audits of this data to various areas as requested.

3. Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Reporting:

  • Develop custom and standard reports, reporting cycles, and required updates based on system updates.
  • Provide Turnover reporting as needed to leadership.
  • Run and provide reports that are already on established timelines.

4. HR System Processing:

  • Process/approve merit increases, terminations, tax election changes, service date adjustments, and other HR related approvals for changes to employee profiles.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to work in an office environment.

2. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on occasion.

3. Ability to work for extended periods with spreadsheets/computers.

4. Must have good manual dexterity skills with a keyboard and 10-key calculator.

5. May need to work off hours in cases of emergency needs for reports and information.

6. Position is eligible for hybrid or remote work.
