Primary Purpose Summary
This role is accountable for entire shift results related to production outcomes/efficiencies, processing, adherence to relevant procedures, quality, safety, continuous improvement initiatives, and personnel activities.

- Accomplishes production results by effectively communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Maintains work flow by monitoring each step of the process; setting, starting, and processing molds; monitoring personnel and resources; studying and improving methods; investigating and implementing time and cost reductions; researching and developing reporting procedures; etc…..
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; meeting or exceeding KPI’s; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Ensures proper operation of equipment by monitoring, evaluating, and repairing
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the proper use of all equipment and resources maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Asserts themselves thoroughly in order to establish accountability across all job functions.
- Resolves personnel problems by investigating issues in a timely manner, identifying potential solutions, and recommending action accordingly.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
- Ability to cover other shifts on short notice – including days, nights, and weekends for other Management vacations and other time off
- Willingness to lead and/or participate in meetings and projects as necessary – on or off shift.
- Ability to travel on short notice on behalf of the company as necessary.
- Ability to cover for the Molding Room Manager as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in professional management roles - preferably in plastics manufacturing.
- Advanced skills in reading, writing and math.
- High School diploma mandatory.
- Advanced computer skills
- Ability to effectively perform root cause analyses

- Strong conflict resolution and independent reasoning skills
- Technical aptitude
- Basic math skills, add, subtract, multiply, divide, and percentages.
- Basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex molding and equipment technical issues a plus.
- Experience with thermoset materials preferred.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for duration of a 12 hour shift; and will be required to walk regularly while using hands to handle material and equipment including reaching and bending with hands arms, legs and feet.
- All employees must be physically able to have/ demonstrate full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities.
- Employees must have the ability to lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds.
- Fundamental understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, and standards.
- Knowledge of SPC
- Knowledge of packaging applications (closures, bottles, & tubes).
- Able to plan, control and assure product and process quality in accordance with quality principles, which include planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling and measurement systems.
- Knowledge of the Food and Beverage industry is plus.
