What we're looking for:
A highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong HR background with familiarity in laws, regulations, and best practices relating to Human Resources, Recruitment and Staffing.
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Supports the recruitment/hiring process by checking references, initiating and reviewing background checks, verifying candidates’ licensure and professional experience,
and issuing employment contracts as requested. - Ensures employee’s HR file is complete and compliant with regulations, laws, and policies.
- Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Assists with tasks including performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, and morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
- Creates HR reports as needed.
- Assists and serves on committees and projects as requested.
- Completes a minimum of twelve (12) hours of in-services per year.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Able to work independently as a member of the HR team.
- Able to assist in implementing and/or complying with company policies and procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality of employee and agency information and agrees to sign a confidentiality agreement.
- Detailed-oriented person able to correctly record, file and maintain employee/agency information.
- Possesses visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal communication.
- Possesses excellent verbal communication skills.
- Has manual dexterity sufficient for writing, keyboarding and telephone operation.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Driving to other Angelic offices may be required.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
- At least five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.
- SHRM certification preferred.
- SHRM’s Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
