Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist located in Rutherford, NJ is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all Kumon Associates, within the Kumon North America organization as liaisons between Human Resources and the Company. The Human Resources Generalist is dedicated to providing professional support to the core focus areas of Human Resources, including, but not limited to the following: Company Culture; Associate Relations and Engagement; Performance Management; Talent management; Compensation & Benefits; Learning & Development; Human Capital Management Systems; Talent Acquisition; and other areas as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-7 years of prior experience as an HR Generalist or combination of Human Resources roles supporting the functional areas of Human Resources
- 2 days in the office (Rutherford, NJ)
Responsibilities:
- Supports Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) activities, training and programs; reviews and proposes policy and procedure updates including updates to the Associate Handbook
- Associate Relations and Engagement
- Promotes communication and positive relationships with associates to promote associate satisfaction and engagement; supports associate relations issues including Associate complaints, discrimination and harassment claims
- Performance Management
- Facilitates the performance management process, from goal setting and evaluations through administering the process and performing system maintenance
- Talent Management
- Reviews, analyzes and shares data, metrics and information regarding Associate recruitment, engagement and retention; recommends programs, policies, and procedures improvements; provides managers with coaching and development
- Compensation and Benefits
- Performs compensation analysis and develops proposals to ensure consistency with internal equity and external market data, and compliance with local, state and federal regulations
- Administers various Associate benefits programs; administers short- and long-term disability claims in compliance with federal and state law
- Learning and Development
- Contributes to development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of trainings programs
- Human Capital Management (HCM) System
- Supports the Human Capital Management Systems, including implementations, ongoing support, and maintenance
