Job Description
- Manage all day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, benefits, onboarding, training, leave, performance management, and employee records.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Implement and optimize HR processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Partner with leadership to translate organizational goals into actionable HR strategies.
- Anticipate future talent needs and develop recruitment and retention plans.
- Analyze HR data to gain insights and inform data-driven decision-making.
- Manage change initiatives smoothly, ensuring employee engagement and well-being.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Act as a trusted advisor, addressing employee concerns and mediating conflicts.
- Develop and implement initiatives to boost morale, engagement, and well-being.
- Oversee performance management systems and ensure regular feedback and development opportunities.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and hire top talent across diverse roles.
- Manage the entire recruitment process, from screening to onboarding.
- Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline for future growth.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of progressive HR experience with demonstrated knowledge of all core HR functions.
- Professional certification in human resources (e.g., PHRca, SHRM California Law HR Specialty Credential) is preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate vision into action.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Data-driven approach with proven ability to analyze HR data and make informed decisions.
- Adaptability and comfort with change in a fast-growing environment.
- Passion for Upward Bound Houses’ mission and commitment to social justice.
