Toca Madera Scottsdale is seeking anHR Generalist will aid in carrying out the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources functions mainly in Arizona, and ensure a consistent, high-level delivery of HR services to all team members.

Candidates must possess superior communication, be a self-starter, and have good organizational and time management skills. This Hybrid position will be required to be in person at our Toca Madera Scottsdale location for 2-3 days a week, then remote after that.
The HR Generalist is responsible for communication and knowledge about HR, onboarding and offboarding, compliance, and systems functions. Ensure precise employee records and ensure that they are correct and up-to-date, ensure confidentiality, conduct investigations with sensitivity and tact. This role will assist in managing and auditing HR systems, including Paylocity, ExpandShare, and Harri.

Job Overview: Partner with Scottsdale Management team for HR leadership and to ensure continuance with HR strategies and policies Assist with HR administration, Onboarding and offboarding, unemployment summons, conduct employment references for potential team members Assist in audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs, recommends and initiates corrective action Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies Maintain accurate employee records and manage termination files including ensuring final pay is handled correctly for all employees at all locations in accordance with local laws and company policies Strong knowledge of Human Resources policies, procedures and compliance in multiple states specifically Arizona Development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, audits, and ongoing reports for company requirements Maintain tracking of all required training and certifications. Assist with Compliance tasks including reviewing, tracking, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training including items such as safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications Monitor, coordinate and process Workers Compensation claims, receive and review claim forms, provide forms to employees, supervisors and others as requested Works with team members to help login to the payroll system Respond to day to day inquiries for management and team members Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: Minimum of 3+ years of previous Human Resources experience required, preferably in a Hospitality Environment Bachelor's degree or equivalent mix of experience and education Strong oral and written communication skills - fluency in Spanish preferred Team player and possess a diligent work ethic Ability to be self-motivated, meet deadlines, and demonstrate time management skills Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems like ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, Paychex and Harri or similar software G Suite, Microsoft Office Proficiency and ability to quickly learn new systems Proven success working in an HR department Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail Exhibit strong multitasking abilities and maintain organization Basic understanding of the payroll function including check processing Knowledge of national laws and state regulations related to employment Hybrid position, must reside or commute to the venue in Scottsdale area so as to be in venue 3 days a week.
