Overview


JST is currently seeking a HR Generalist to join our corporate team. The HR Generalist serves as the primary and dedicated People and Culture point of contact for their assigned business units within JST.

This is a full-time position in the DWF, TX area. JST offers a full benefit package, a collaborative work environment and strong company culture. Veterans and military spouses are encouraged to apply.


HR Generalist Responsibilities

  • Interpret, guide, and enforce P&C policy within assigned practice(s)
  • Conduct regular meetings and advise leadership on organizational design for assigned practice(s)
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Prepare personnel forecast to project employment needs, including strategic workforce planning and succession planning for assigned practice(s)
  • Define career paths, support conduct compensation analyses, and learning & development plans
  • Support the creation of requisitions for the Recruiting team
  • Identify, evaluate, and monitor training needs for practices
  • Manage employee relations issues while guiding practice directors, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns
  • Primary Liaison to Recruiting to support Practice recruiting efforts
  • Support the New Hire Onboarding process
  • Manage performance management process (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions), including performance improvement plans and legal review when required
  • Manage the employee Offboarding process and Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee separation
  • Communicate Moment of Truths between CPCO and P&C Operations Manager when necessary
  • Manage, investigate, and resolve complex employee relations issues
  • Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Coordinate with legal counsel as needed/required
  • Support and lead P&C process improvement initiatives
  • Consult with practice leadership and CPCO on personnel changes, including promotions, transfers, status changes, and terminations
  • Coordinate updates and changes in HRIS systems with P&C team
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Review, route, and monitor Practice specific service desk tickets to maximize responsiveness and ensure efficient resolution of questions and personnel actions
  • Develop and implement employee engagement strategies to improve work relations, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Implement diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives as they relate to the assigned practice(s) to promote a culture of belonging
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and HIPAA regulations
  • Maintains knowledge of current trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources and employment law
  • Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization's personnel policies and practices
  • Assist other P&C team members in surge times or absence as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

HR Generalist Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a Human Resources role as a HRBP or HR Generalist
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent
  • Experience supporting a group of employees in excess of 100
  • Experience with HRIS, ATS or HCM systems
  • Knowledge of labor laws/ employment law
  • Experience resolving complex employee relations issues
  • Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, diversity and inclusion, performance management

HR Generalist Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with supporting Federal Contractors
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Human Resources Business Professional (PCBP) certification preferred

Required Clearances and Screenings

  • MUST be able to successfully pass a drug screen and background check
