Are you ready to lead a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping our HR department? We're on the lookout for a HR Director or Manager, someone who not only possesses a wealth of experience in immigration but is also passionate about nurturing our talent pool. Join us in this incredible opportunity where you'll be at the forefront of HR operations, talent acquisition, compliance, and more.

What You'll Be Leading:

1. HR Operations:

  • You'll be the conductor of HR operations, crafting and implementing innovative HR policies and programs to support our growth.
  • Lead a talented HR team that provides guidance to employees and managers to resolve complex HR issues.
  • Play a pivotal role in benefits administration and compensation programs.
  • Take the lead in addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and taking disciplinary actions when needed.
  • You'll also be responsible for onboarding new employees and facilitating ongoing training related to immigration and HR policies.

2. Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning:

  • Collaborate with recruitment department heads to understand staffing needs and long-term workforce plans.
  • Champion our recruitment strategies across all business units.
  • Manage the entire recruitment life cycle, from crafting compelling job postings to conducting interviews and skillful offer negotiations.
  • Amplify our brand as the employer of choice within the industry.
  • Forge meaningful relationships with universities and professional organizations to attract and retain top-tier talent.

3. Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure our company operates in harmony with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain impeccable HR records and employee files that serve as the backbone of our operations.
  • Skillfully prepare and submit essential reports to regulatory agencies to ensure we remain in compliance.

4. Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Foster an inclusive and diverse work environment where employee engagement thrives.
  • Tackle employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts with poise and a commitment to resolution.
  • Create and manage employee well-being programs and initiatives, showing your dedication to their holistic development

5. Immigration and Visa Management:

  • Become the go-to expert for all things immigration, handling various visa types like L1, L2, B1, B2, E2, H1B, green cards, and international assignments.
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of immigration regulations, ensuring our unwavering compliance.
  • Seamlessly orchestrate the preparation and submission of immigration applications and related documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with legal counsel, government agencies, and external partners to tackle immigration inquiries and audits head-on.
  • Keep meticulous records of visa statuses and their expiration dates.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM or HRCI are preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of HR management experience, including expertise in immigration-related matters.
  • 3+ years of experience with US immigration in both NIV (e.g., H-1B, Blanket L-1, F-1 OPT) and IV (e.g., PERM, I-140) related matters either in-house or in a law firm; experience working on a Global Mobility team is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of US immigration laws and regulations.
  • Previous experience in managing HR teams, ideally in an engineering or technical consulting setting.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, HR best practices, and compensation strategies within the engineering industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
