The CAC Program Director is responsible for the organization, administration, evaluation and oversight of the Arenac, Bay, Huron & Saginaw CAC Programs and Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT) to ensure a highly coordinated response for children who are suspected of being sexually or physically abused or witness to violence.
This position reports to and is evaluated by the President/CEO. This is a full-time, exempt position. Regular travel throughout the entire service area is required, and candidates must have a clean driving record. Flexibility to participate in evening/weekend engagements is required.
Responsibilities
Program Management:
Hire, supervise and review CAC team of 10 staff members and contractors.Orchestrate all CAC staff in successful implementation of their individual roles, ensuring compliance with accreditation, MI Division of Victim Services guidelines, all grant requirements and county protocols.Oversee CAC Medical Program in conjunction with CAC Medical Advisor.Coordinate cross-training of all staff across all counties.Coordinate staff to facilitate and participate in MDT case review.Assist in organizing/offering training opportunities for MDT.Oversee regular accreditations, grant contract reviews and similar programmatic audits.Ensure CAC policies and procedures are in compliance with National Children’s Alliance (NCA) Standards.Oversee Vicarious Trauma Prevention policy implementation and evaluation.Troubleshoot case related concerns and problems.
Community Collaboration:
Collaborate with community organizations and investigative partners for the development, implementation and evaluation of multi-agency child abuse protocols.Increase collaboration and foster cooperation among systems that interact with child abuse victims and non-offending caregivers.Facilitate and participate in MDT meetings, trainings and case reviews.Continuously assess MDT accountability to victims and non-offending caregivers, and to fellow team members.Provide consultation to community professionals regarding child abuse issues.Coordinate & provide CAC-relevant in-service trainings to organizational staff.Orchestrate all communication and partnership agreements with the MDT.Assess gaps in, or barriers to, service and systems response and develop solutions.Educate relevant local college and university departments and students on the CAC model and seek meaningful engagement.Represent the CAN Council on committees, collaboratives, etc. and at community education events.Program Leadership:
Serve as a member of the CAN Council Leadership Team.Contribute and adhere to the organizational strategic plan and actively participate in monthly reviews.Identify and participate in training and professional conferences related to the issues of child abuse and neglect and management of a CAC.Represent the CAC with the National Children’s Alliance and the Michigan Chapter of NCA.
Administrative Duties:
Develop annual goals for the CAC in coordination with the President/CEO and in alignment with the organizational strategic plan.Review monthly program needs, accomplishments and barriers with the President/CEO.Assist with grant writing for the CAC.Oversee all CAC grants and submit timely reporting, ensuring compliance with funding requirements.Develop policies related to usage of recording equipment and case database; train and oversee execution by all staff.Oversee development & distribution of informational and promotional materials related to the CAC including the CAN Council website and social media plan.Participate in all fundraising efforts for the ongoing support of the CAN Council.Maintain and upgrade computer application skills and database prowess.Qualifications
- Master’s degree required in social work, human services or related field.
- 5+ years of program management/development experience to include recruiting, supervising, and developing a successful and collaborative team.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate the success of programs and projects.
- Skilled in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data, creating reports, and communicating results and recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven project leader.
- Knowledge of dynamics of child abuse and neglect required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; interviewing, assessment and relationship building skills.
- Adept case tracking and management abilities.
- Proven grant writing and reporting skills.
- Experience in planning and facilitating training for professionals.
- Proven financial acumen including budget development and management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, OneDrive and Planner.
- Prowess in database management.
- Annual satisfactory driving record and background check clearance required.
