Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist oversees daily operations of the HR department, managing tasks such as employee onboarding, administrative functions, and enforcement of company policies. This role encompasses both administrative and strategic duties to contribute to workforce engagement initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute personnel procedures, policies, and SOPs, offering guidance for business operations.
• Contribute to the development of HR objectives and systems, creating metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company needs.
• Propose new procedures and policies to enhance HR department efficiency and overall organizational effectiveness.
• Ensure legal compliance with HR state and federal regulations, employment laws, updating policies and procedures as necessary.
• Safeguard confidential and sensitive information with the utmost trust and discretion.
• Implement HR programs, providing services such as talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, training, development, records management, succession planning, employee relations, and retention.
• Facilitate new hire onboarding, coordinating with cross-functional departments for a seamless first-day experience.
• Support onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, managing HR information systems data for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in the communication, interpretation, and maintenance of the employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart.
•Assist the Housing Coordinator and Talent Acquisition team as needed.
• Handle special HR projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field OR 3-5 years of HR experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Broad technical knowledge of HR functions and processes, with prior experience in the tour or maritime industry.
• Possess a valid Driver’s License.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands include walking short distances and/or driving a vehicle, with the ability to deliver and pick up materials. Work is primarily conducted in an office environment, requiring proficiency with standard office equipment.
