About the Position:
We are seeking a Benefits Specialist to provide administration of benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, HSA, and 401(k) plan. As an integral part of Pureflow's HR team, success in this position requires excellent customer service for all employees at all levels throughout the organization, while also navigating applicable timelines, details, and compliance requirements.
JOB RESPONSBILITIES:
- Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
- Assists with new-hire orientations and on-boarding of new employees.
- Responds to benefits inquiries from employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Distributes all benefits enrollment communications and materials; determines eligibility.
- Assists with processing life changes and ensuring enrollment changes with carriers.
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
- Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, disability and FMLA.
- Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues, as appropriate.
- Assists with the open enrollment process.
- Reviews invoices to ensure accuracy; provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.
- Processes time and attendance tracking and related reports, including PTO and leave hours.
- Assists with ACA reporting and distribution of other required notices.
- Processes benefits-related off-boarding, including COBRA, for exiting employees.
- Coordinates wellness initiatives and other communications to enhance understanding of Pureflow's employee benefits.
- Responds to 401(k) inquiries from employees relating to enrollments, plan features and contribution amounts.
- Ensures compliance with legal requirements in all assigned HR areas.
- Performs other HR projects, as requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years of experience in HR; knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality
- Ability to work in a team environment
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-SCP/SHRM-CP certification a plus
