Human Resources Assistant Needed
Star Kids Pediatric Home Health has an opening for a HR Specialist Assistant.

The HR Assistant is responsible for assisting the HR Manager by analyzing and researching all employment verifications of possible candidates and past employees, Payroll assistance biweekly, Coordination of new employee orientation, and Manage employee files while maintaining confidential compliance. The HR Assistant will also work closely with the scheduling department to help identify scheduling needs and assist with other functional office duties. Candidates with an understanding of private duty nursing will receive preference.
Responsibilities:
· Resolves various payroll needs and edits within established timelines
· Submits EVV reports to CMS through third party vendors and/or via direct link access online
· Identifies trends and issues and communicates their recommendation for resolution to the supervisor/manager
· Follow-up (phone, e-mail, payer websites, and regular mail) with insurance companies regarding claim status and payment
· Assists the billing department with authorizations and appeal letters using the established insurance guidelines to resolve collection barriers
· Reports departmental issues and concerns directly to CEO.
· Utilizes systems, various documents and reports to identify and correct errors accurately and within established timeframes.
· Contacts healthcare providers for pre-employment verifications.
· Meets productivity and accuracy expectations of the position. Willing to train in the scheduling department and billing department to fully understand HR role.
· Other duties as assigned that may likely include office filing, scanning, and administrative work, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
· One year of experience in HR Assisting in healthcare setting or 2 years experience working as office manager in healthcare setting. A thorough knowledge of HIPAA standards are required.
· Strong analytical, problem solving, and mathematical abilities
· Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
· Effective verbal and written communication and human relation skills required
· Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position requirements
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
· Sedentary work, requiring lifting up to 10lbs
· Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment
· Inside, climate-controlled working conditions
Schedule: Monday to Friday (no weekends/holidays)
Education: minimum High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience: HR Assisting experience of 1 year or 2 years of office management in a healthcare setting.

Benefit Conditions: 1st day of the month following 30 days after hire for all employees working 30+ hours/week.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
