Duties and responsibilities
Greets and welcomes employees and assists them with their inquiries and questions.
Answers, screens, directs phone calls to HR staff, and takes messages.
Prepare new hire packets for new personnel and order office supplies.
Keeps records of drivers’ DOT physicals and ensures CDL drivers’ records are current, including Annual State Motor Vehicle Records, Annual Review of Driving Records, and Annual Driver Certification of Violations, as well as training certificates for Servsafe Food Handler, Serving Alcohol, Responsible Alcohol Manager, Human Trafficking, CPR/AED, First Aid, BBP, Right to Know, OSHA and others.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation in an electronic management system.
Perform periodic audits of H.R. files and records to appropriately collect and file all required documents.
Assists the HR Department in sourcing candidates for the housekeeping and maintenance department and updating the Applicant Tracking System.
Conduct employment verifications.
Helps plan and oversee employee recognition events.
Translate documents into Spanish.
Maintains the bulletin board with employment posters, announcements, birthdays, job openings, and any other information the HR department needs to share with employees.
Assist with the coordination and announcement of the employee of the quarter.
Works with the management team to select the employee spotlight and prepares monthly newsletters.
Adhere to employment labor laws and employment regulations.
Education, Experience, and Skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient in MS Office.
Proficient in Canva, Mailchimp, Survey Monkey, and other marketing tools.
Hands-on experience with an HRIS, preferably Paycor, but not required.
Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
Prior experience handling confidential business matters and information with discretion.
Prior related office experience, preferably in H.R.
