Job Overview:
This is primarily going to be a 50/50 human resource position working directly with the CEO of HR and the other half of your time will be a Personal Assistant, so both job descriptions will be written below. One is directly from the CEO going over the Personal Assistant and then the HR job description.

PERSONAL ASSISTANT
This post is not from our HR team but from the company’s CEO. It’s being written in laymen's terms directly from him because he wanted to accurately explain the job description without the professional words that would make this position more confusing. The Personal Assistant job can be a chaotic position doing random tasks, unlike a normal job where you have set tasks you do repetitively daily. This job is also for a specific owner of the company, who he knows what that person wants, so he wanted to make this job posting specific, uncomplicated, and accurate. This will not be a professional explanation; it will be a very accurate explanation. We have an HR department but he refused to let this be reviewed by them because in his words "We are too bureaucratic."
This will most likely be what you would consider the greatest job that you’ve ever had because the person you’re working for is truly a great person and can be very fun at times. But generally speaking, I just want someone who is emotionally intelligent, stable, and doesn’t care what tasks they’re asked to do; you’re just going to work hard and be positive. There are future options for raises, going on work vacations, and many other possible benefits but it’s all going to come down to your attitude and how hard you work. If you’re the type of person who will do this but won’t do that, just don’t apply because a Personal Assistant is someone who does any random tasks that are needed and likes that variety in their life.
This job posting is for a Personal Assistant who will be working in a luxury high-rise penthouse and working for the founder of a large healthcare company. The owner’s very nice, and charismatic. There will be times when he’ll want to be left alone, and times when he’ll enjoy your company more with humor and jokes. However, you have to be able to just focus on your work to help him have a more efficient and peaceful day and not the opposite of being a burden emotionally aka positivity is required.
As a Personal Assistant, you need to be happy with any work asked of you be the type, variety, or amount that you get for that day. You could be doing anything from doing random tasks anywhere in the company, obviously not extremely advanced unless you’re trained, but assisting others when Travis doesn’t need you to do any random task that is needed for him. The best way to explain this is you just need to be happy in any situation because a Personal Assistant does many random tasks constantly. Though, in time, it all depends on what your skills and strengths are.
If you have the following, do not apply to this position because it will quickly not work out for you:
- There can be zero attitude at any time
- You must be a person who has a positive attitude, as your employer is a very positive person and doesn’t want any emotional crutches
- If you’re having a bad day, that’s understandable, but you have to have the emotional strength to leave any emotions and negativity at the door.
- Laziness will not be tolerated, though your role will have many random tasks to complete, you need to agree that you are a person who is always looking for the next thing to do and not just waiting to be told what to do and be on their phone during such times. We are extremely busy people, you are there to help, and your down times should be times when you seek your next task to do, you should not need someone to babysit you on finding something efficient to accomplish
Being on your phone and social media anytime during the day that’s not for work will not be tolerated other than on your breaks. This is more just out of respect.
Random things that you could be expected to do that you need to decide before you apply that you’re happy with such tasks. I’m obviously telling you the worst of the tasks, but the only person who’s going to work well in this scenario is someone who is happy to assist without caring about what tasks they need to provide. I will tell you this is a very respectable and fun position, but you still have to get work done. The point is to save time for the owner on smaller stuff so that he can focus on the large objectives of the company.
- It’ll be expected that you cook and clean to the best of your ability, but this could also include deep cleaning.
- Walking a dog and also cleaning up any poop
- Random errands such as returns, mailing things out, grabbing food for the office, etc.
- Managing deliveries and appointments
- You’ll be on the phone a lot making appointments and doing various tasks
Your first interview will be over Zoom or Facetime, your second interview will be in person.
The location is in downtown Miami next to Bayfront Park.
