The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations, works closely with the HR Director, and performs administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the facility's human resource department. The position assists with and facilitates the HR processes including:
- record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS management (data entry)
- Keeps Personnel files current with new policies, certifications, licenses, 30-Day, 90-Day and Annual Evaluations, change of status, department and wages forms, job descriptions, and annual evaluations and competencies
- New hire functions to include all functions of the onboarding process via iCIMS Applicant Tracking System
- Performs customer service functions for both internal and external calls by answering telephone calls, employee questions and directs phone calls and/or takes messages
Qualifications
Education: High School Degree required, Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or closely related field preferred
Experience: Prefer minimum of 1 to 2 years HR office experience or commensurate
Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of HRIS (data entry) or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system required, Lawson preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Excellent orgaization skills and attention to detail. Proficiant with Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
