1. Assess prospective clients for program eligibility through receipt of internal and external referrals;
2. Responsible for assisting homeless households with obtaining and maintaining basic household furnishings;
3. Assess prospective clients for program eligibility through receipt of internal and external referrals;
4. Responsible for apartment inspections to ensure apartments are safe and in compliance with Housing and Urban Development Housing Quality Standards;
5. Assists clients with coordination of rent renewals and advocates for clients to resolve any landlord-related issues;
6. Transports clients to view potential apartments and with obtaining household related items, as needed;
7. Collects monthly rent from clients;
8. Responsible for maintaining up-to-date and accurate client files, case notes and databases, as required by agency/programmatic policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory, licensing or accrediting bodies;
9. Participates in community outreach efforts to obtain additional resources for clients;
10. Meets with each client as required by the Program or based on client needs;
11. Knows and complies with the laws and regulations relevant to the position and services.
