Job Summary:
Collaborate with staff and participants to provide housing resources, assist with housing program paperwork and reporting. Responsible for tracking unit move-in/move-outs, and coordinating with program staff and facilities to moving, cleaning and end of tenancy walk-thru. Complete scheduled unit inspections and communicate with Facilities for any maintenance issues. Assist in preparing leases and posting notices. Assist Housing Operations Manager with day-to-day housing tasks. Build community relationships, network, establish landlord (LL) relationships, act as liaison for LL issues for housing programs, attend community and agency staff meetings and promote programs to teams and in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a housing needs assessment with clients to identify barriers to housing.
- Assist clients in developing an individualized Housing Stability plan addressing barriers to housing.
- Assist clients in completing housing applications, including KCHA housing application packets.
- Collaborate regarding the clinical and housing needs of program clients.
- Assist clients with budgeting and related planning processes in preparation for housing applications and search. Advocate on behalf of clients and their rights.
- Assist clients with obtaining necessary documents such as credit reports, background checks, etc.
- Educate clients about their rights and responsibilities as a tenant.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA degree in human services.
Experience:
- Prior experience with homeless individuals or at-risk families.
- Knowledge of landlord tenant law, housing authority regulations, the provisions of a standard lease and related information.
- Knowledge and skills in providing clinical case management.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of professionals and a diverse client population.
